for the life of Alice 10 marks [...] at 2 terms, to wit, a moiety at Pentecost and the other moiety at the feast of St Martin in Winter.
John and Alice shall have the right to distrain William and his heirs in all the lands and tenements which he had
on the day the agreement was made in

And after the decease of Alice, William and his heirs shall be quit of the payment of the 10 marks a year for ever.
