Action: Plea of covenant.
Agreement: John Deryng' and Joan have acknowledged the tenements to be the right of John Samwell', as those which the same John and John de Corbrygg' have of their gift.
For this: John Samwell' and John de Corbrygg' have granted to John Deryng' and Joan the tenements and have rendered them to them in the court, to hold to John Deryng' and Joan, of the chief lords for the lives of John and Joan. And after the decease of John Deryng' and Joan a moiety of the tenements shall remain to John, son of the aforesaid Joan, and the heirs of his body, to hold of the chief lords for ever. In default of such heirs, successive remainders (1) to Denise, daughter of the aforesaid Joan, and the heirs of her body and (2) to the right heirs of John Deryng'. And the other moiety shall remain to the aforesaid Denise and her aforesaid heirs, to hold of the chief lords for ever. In default of such heirs, successive remainders (1) to the aforesaid [John, son] of Joan, and his aforesaid heirs and (2) to the right heirs of John Deryng'.
