For this, Emma has granted to Ralph and Margery the tenements and has rendered 1 messuage, 57 acres of land, 4 acres of meadow, 12 acres of wood and 6 shillings of rent to them in the court, to hold to Ralph and Margery and the heirs begotten by Ralph on the body of Margery, of Emma and her heirs for ever, rendering yearly 1 rose at the feast of the Nativity of St John the Baptist, and doing to the chief lords all other services. And besides Emma granted for herself and her heirs that 33 acres of land and 4 acres of meadow, 5 acres of wood and 18 shillings of rent - which Alexander Jordan held for life of the inheritance of Emma in Hoddesdone on the day the agreement was made, and which after the decease of Alexander ought to revert to Emma and her heirs - after the decease of Alexander shall remain to Ralph and Margery and their aforesaid heirs, to hold together with the aforesaid tenements of Emma and her heirs by the aforesaid services for ever. In default of such heirs the tenements shall revert to Emma and her heirs, quit of the other heirs of Ralph and Margery, to hold of the chief lords for ever.

Note: This agreement was made in the presence of Alexander, and he did fealty to Ralph and Margery in the court.
